To all,

Please find attached the final membership report from the clubs of 22-D.  Of course several of them have not reported lately so who knows what their actual numbers are.  The ones who are not current with their reports are:  Delaware City (4/06), Delmar (9/05), Greenwood (12/05), Lewes (04/06), Murderkill (05/06), Talleyville-Naamans (5/06), Wilmington Gateway (4/06), Holloway (04/06).

As you can see, a couple of these have been very delinquent in sending in reports.  This is a challenge for the 06-07 Team.

I regret that I did not reach my goal of “plus one” in members or in clubs.  We did break even in the number of clubs even after dropping Hockessin and Long Neck.  Maybe DG Keith can get those numbers up.

My apologies to the District for not putting a better effort into membership and retention!  Since the July reports, we did bring in 151 new members, had 12 reinstated, transferred in 59 but then dropped 245 for a loss of 23.  Compared to the June numbers, we have had a net loss of 43 Lions.

My thanks go to the clubs who did gain in membership with Wilmington Gateway leading with a 40% increase and Spring Creek next with a 20.7% increase (each with 6 new members).

Thank you to Lion Bob Daniels for all his hard work as Membership Chair.  These numbers are not a true indication of his efforts.  I will accept the responsibility for the failure.

IPDG Ralph
